Recently, Tonglin Foundry, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhenheng Power, has achieved another milestone in intelligent manufacturing upgrading with the commissioning and official operation of its brand-new gravity casting cell production line. Supported by automated equipment architecture and precision hydraulic pouring systems, the line realizes fully automatic operation across the entire aluminum alloy gravity casting process. It balances production efficiency, product precision and finished part stability, comprehensively boosting the company’s capacity for large-volume, high-quality delivery of aluminum alloy castings.
Complete Intelligent Production Line Enables Unmanned Closed-Loop Full-Process Operation
The newly built gravity casting cell is equipped with standardized high-end casting equipment, including 1 industrial robot, 2 professional holding furnaces and 4 tilting gravity pouring machines. Featuring a scientifically compact layout, the line achieves highly integrated and optimized working procedures.
The entire line relies on industrial robots for integrated fully automatic production with minimal manual intervention. It autonomously completes all processes including molten aluminum handling, high-temperature molten aluminum transfer, product pouring, ladle dross cleaning and ladle preheating during standby. Replacing outdated manual pouring, manual ladle cleaning and manual material transfer workflows, the automated system eliminates human operational errors, avoids safety hazards in high-temperature workshops and cuts labor costs for plant production.
Powered by the automated closed-loop production model, the new gravity casting line supports long-term stable continuous manufacturing with maximized equipment linkage efficiency and drastically improved overall output. At full capacity, it achieves a remarkable daily production breakthrough, enabling efficient fulfillment of customized and bulk supply orders for large batches of aluminum castings. The automated line maintains a consistent production rhythm with minor output fluctuations and more controllable delivery cycles, helping Tonglin Foundry rapidly respond to customers’ high-volume order demands and accelerate order delivery.
