4. A robotic arm is a part of an industrial robot used to perform tasks. Its structure is similar to that of a human arm, consisting of a shoulder, elbow and wrist. The shoulder is the part of the mechanical arm connected to the industrial robot host. The elbow is the jointed part of the arm that bends when moving, while the wrist is the end of the arm that performs the actual task.

 

5. Components such as robotic arms need to be equipped with motors to facilitate movement. It features linear and rotary actuators powered by electric, hydraulic or pneumatic energy. As actuators move at high speeds, they push and rotate robotic parts to create motion.
