Recently, Yunnan Zhichuan Yunlayer Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhichuan Yunlayer”), jointly established by Chengdu Zhengheng Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zhengheng Power”) and Professor Song Peng’s team from Kunming University of Science and Technology, has received a prominent coverage from the national authoritative media “Science and Technology Daily” due to its technological breakthroughs and industrialization achievements in the field of thermal spray coating materials. This coverage not only showcases the technological prowess of Zhichuan Yunlayer but also highlights the innovative model of “Zhengheng Power” as an industry enabler in promoting the implementation of high-end technologies through university-enterprise collaboration, drawing significant industry attention.
As a domestic enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of automotive parts, Zhengheng Power has been deeply involved in the industry for many years, boasting a comprehensive production management system and established market channels. The in-depth collaboration with Kunming University of Science and Technology marks a pivotal step for the company, as it aims to meet the technological needs in the field of high-end equipment surface protection, proactively laying out core technological innovations and driving industrial upgrading.
In the collaboration, Zhengheng Power fully leveraged its resource advantages and market experience in the industrial sector, complementing the hardcore scientific research achievements of Professor Song Peng’s team, which cover the entire chain of materials, processes, and equipment, to jointly establish Zhichuan Yunlayer. This move enabled the cutting-edge coating technology, which was originally “lying in the laboratory,” to quickly move towards industrial application.
In its report, “Science and Technology Daily” provided a detailed interpretation of the technological prowess of Zhichuan Yunlayer. The article highlighted that the coating technology system jointly developed by both parties has not only addressed industry pain points in the domestic mechanical equipment surface protection sector, such as “coating detachment and difficulty in protecting complex structural components,” but has also achieved breakthroughs in multiple fields. Notably, the coating reinforcement technology for the inner wall of internal combustion engine cylinders without cylinder liners has achieved dual breakthroughs in component lightweighting and performance enhancement. Additionally, the independently developed 4-meter-long internal hole spraying equipment has been successfully applied to the combustion chamber of national key equipment engines.
Zhengheng Power and the Kunming University of Science and Technology team have jointly invested 50 million yuan in the first phase of Zhichuan Cloud Layer. A standardized factory building spanning 1,500 square meters has been constructed, equipped with six sets of core equipment independently developed by the company, achieving a production capacity of processing 200,000 parts annually. The company has established a full-chain service system capable of providing customized solutions for multiple industries such as automotive, chemical, metallurgy, and electric power, securing stable orders upon commissioning.
