Tonglin Foundry, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhengheng Power, has obtained the factory approval certificate from the China Classification Society, officially entering the field of ship casting components
Recently, **Chengdu Tonglin Foundry Industry Co., Ltd.**, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chengdu Zhengheng Power Co., Ltd., successfully obtained the China Classification Society (CCS) factory approval certificate (certificate number: CQ25PWA00015). The certified product is marine cast iron parts, and the approval standard meets the requirements of the CCS’s “Materials and Welding Specification”. The implementation of this authoritative certification marks that Tonglin Foundry has reached professional standards in the research and development, production, and quality control of marine castings, successfully obtaining a “passport” to enter the marine equipment supporting market. It also lays a solid foundation for Zhengheng Power to expand into high-end equipment supporting fields such as offshore engineering and shipbuilding.
The factory approval certificate issued by the Chongqing Branch of China Classification Society to Tonglin Foundry clearly specifies the certified products, production standards, and inspection requirements. The certified products include two types of marine cast iron parts: gray cast iron and ductile cast iron. The grades of gray cast iron cover HT200 to HT300, with a maximum single piece weight of up to 350kg; the grades of ductile cast iron cover QT500 to QT600, with a maximum single piece weight of up to 900kg. The smelting method uses medium frequency induction furnaces, and the product surface states support both roughcast and rough machining, fully meeting the casting support needs in different scenarios in the marine industry. During the certification process, Tonglin Foundry completed the product approval test on June 25, 2025 (test report number: TL20250625), and all indicators passed rigorous verification, confirming the company’s stable manufacturing capability.
The factory approval from the China Classification Society (CCS) is an authoritative qualification in the field of ship equipment and accessories. Its audit covers the entire dimension of enterprise production conditions, process capabilities, quality control systems, testing and inspection capabilities, and is the core basis for shipowners and shipyards to select qualified suppliers. Tonglin Foundry has been deeply involved in the foundry industry for many years and possesses a mature R&D and production system for cast iron and cast aluminum parts. Its products are widely used in automotive, engineering machinery, and other fields. The approval from the CCS not only fills the company’s qualification gap in the field of ship castings but also reflects its comprehensive strength in production processes and quality control, which has been highly recognized by a national professional institution.
As the core subsidiary of Zhengheng Power in its high-end casting sector layout, Tonglin Foundry’s recent acquisition of the factory approval certificate from the classification society marks a significant breakthrough for Zhengheng Power in refining its industrial chain layout and expanding into high-end equipment fields such as shipbuilding and offshore engineering. In the future, leveraging Tonglin Foundry’s qualification advantages and technical prowess, Zhengheng Power will concentrate on the research and development of marine cast iron products and market expansion. The company will strictly adhere to the specifications and requirements of the China Classification Society in production, continuously enhance product quality and supporting service capabilities, actively explore the ship equipment supporting market, and seize this certification as an opportunity to further deepen technological accumulation and market layout in the high-end casting field. This will aid the enterprise in achieving diversified and high-quality development, providing high-quality casting supporting solutions for the domestic shipbuilding industry.
