Zero-Point Positioning Technology Unlocks Manufacturing Efficiency

Inside Workshop 5 of Chengdu Zhengheng Power Co., Ltd., a custom-built intelligent mass production line for key clients has been successfully commissioned and put into operation, with its integrated zero-point positioning system unleashing the driving force for precision manufacturing.
As a core supplier to OEMs, Zhengheng Power has introduced a zero-point positioning system that has been precisely adapted to meet the requirements of key clients for new energy hybrid engine cylinder blocks, serving as the precision control core of this mass production line. Positioning and clamping are completed synchronously—the system adopts a spring-actuated clamping and hydraulic release design, which maintains stable operation even after the hydraulic supply is cut off, resulting in significant energy consumption reduction. The repeat positioning accuracy is stably controlled within 0.005 mm, providing a core guarantee for high-end mass production manufacturing.
In the production of new energy components, micron-level deviations may affect the stability of power systems. The zero-point positioning system demonstrates outstanding performance: with a repeat positioning accuracy of less than 3 μm, it achieves high-rigidity dual-sided constrained positioning through conical surface centering technology. Combined with a unified reference and rapid locking function, the positional tolerance of the cylinder block hole system is controlled within 0.02 mm. This achievement has increased the qualification rate of key product dimensions to over 99.5% and boosted single-shift production capacity by 30%, effectively addressing the pain point of “balancing precision and efficiency”.
This custom mass production line achieves quality upgrading through the zero-point positioning system. Standardized positioning eliminates human errors and reduces product defect rates. The automated adaptation advantages of zero-point positioning technology are fully demonstrated in this line: tailored to the characteristics of customer workpieces, the positioning surface is kept clean through automatic air-blowing dust removal, ensuring that each clamping operation accurately meets production requirements.
